•  a conclusion – a summary of the main points of your
argument.
Remember to:
•  plan your writing

•  pay attention to your spelling and punctuation
•  choose your words carefully to convince a reader of your
opinions
•  use a new paragraph for each new idea
•  check and edit your writing so that it is clear for a reader.

Good morning/afternoon, Teacher, and to the peers of whom are listening to this...

I believe in this particular topic that i have been assigned based on the allegation that reading books are better than watching TV, that the overall idea of this is a debatable topic. In my opinion I do agree with this, that reading a book is better than watching tv, but like a far amount of people in the world, I don't find the idea of sitting down in isolation from the rest of the world, and reading fictional things that someone else has put on a page in order to make a profit, a fun and motivating thing to do. I do believe though that by reading books, in quite large amounts, you will become a faster reader. something that I do wish I was, as when it comes to tests it takes a while to read the question, evidently resulting with loss of time.

TV can be a very social thing. Families sit down at night and watch Tv together, they sometimes eat meals while watching Tv, when friends and friends come over you will generally at some point watch Tv together. Tv also teaches us things sub-consciously, as well as consciously. They have documentaries, they have parodies of books and other educational things, which can include the basic information but in a more humorous way, and this will then in some cases unknowingly stick into your brain better, as it will be recorded as a funny memory rather than a boring education memory. I remember when i was in year seven, and I was in Christian Studies, and the teacher asked the class, what an 'epiphany' was, and I answered
"A sudden realization of great truth"
And my teacher thought i had got it from a dictionary, but as i corrected him by telling him that it was actually a quote from the Simpsons movie!

In conclusion I believe that Books are theoretically better than Tv as they will help you through life, by mind automatically adapting to being able to quick read, and you will also pick up vocab, and become a better speller, better at grammar, and better at creating stories.
