Four score years ago, in the year of 1928, Mr N MacNeil, Headmaster of Knox, made the association to the CAS which was established by Mr Archer, Headmaster of Trinity Grammar School. Since that day men of knox have trained, they have fought, and they have won for the glory of our school. We as a nation, a nation of men of knox grammar! owe it to these athletes to do a simple deed, a simple deed that is not much to ask of, a simple deed, that acquires nothing from you but a minuscule portion of your day, a simple deed, that is a proud tradition of our school, and this simple deed is to attend this upcoming CAS, and shout your heart out for these men whom fight for us! our nation of knox grammar!
It would be fatal for the nation of knox to overlook the urgency of this moment. This moment in our history! These men train countless hours to fight for us, the least we can do is join them in there battle, support them, and cheer them on, as they fight to win what is rightfully ours! Too many years have we tasted the bitterness of defeat, too many years have we gone jumping for gold, but then falling on our faces. These warriors have been trained to do their best, but without our support, they will miss the jump... We as a community, as a family, as a nation, must do everything we can to help these athletes, these warriors, these fellow men of knox, make that jump and grab gold! Just a simple attendance makes all the difference! We should not stand idle as these men who are fighting for us swim their hearts out. You may not be able to swim along side these athletes, but we owe it to them to attend their war, and join them in there quest for glory.
CAS is a tradition that should be upheld, and your attendance means a lot to our fellow men of knox swimming for us, it is an incredibly fun and thrilling night, and if every man here attends this years CAS swimming, then I know that our nations athletes will do the best they can to strive for success in this everlasting war against our rival schools.
